Hi,

I am using:

- Macbook Pro with osx 10.7.4

- Firefox 11.0 for mac (version is up-to-date)

The Java Embedding Plugin is a utility that allows other web browsers than Apple's Safari to use the most recent versions of Java on Mac OS X.

In Firefox, in the plugins page I click on the link on top of the page to check whether my plugins are up-to-date or not.

A new page is opened with link 'https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/' that shows me how my firefox plugins are doing.

In case of the Java Applet Plugin it show me the status 'vulnerable' and the red button to update that plugin.

I click on that button and come to the java.com page called 'Java Downloads for All Operating Systems'.

There are updates for all operating systems with the exception of APPLE!!!

Java Applet Plugin Enabler

I tried to update the Java version by using the Apple menu -> Software Update. But everything is just fine, no updates!

I downloaded the newest Java version from the Apple website called 'JavaForOSX.dmg' and install it. All fine.

But the Java Applet plugin version is still the wrong one.

PLEASE: Can someone let me know what I am doing wrong???
